Floral Design Day – Meet the Designers

floral design day

The Rittner School of Design in Boston was founded by floral pioneer and visionary Carl Rittner, and it is in his honor that the industry recognizes National Floral Design Day. Rittner was one of the first to consider floral arranging as an art form, and to this day his legacy reaches into florists and designers throughout the nation. To recognize National Floral Design Day in a personal way, Bice’s Florist decided to introduce you to one of our talented design team – meet Lisa!

Lisa has been around flowers her entire life, as her mother owned a shop while she was growing up. When it came time for Lisa to learn the trade more in-depth, she called every shop in town, straight out of the phone book – proving her tenacity and passion for this industry!  5 years ago, Lisa walked into Bice’s Florist to fill out an application. The shop was very busy that day, and she immediately offered to jump in and help out – and was hired on the spot.

Lisa enjoys working with textures, mentioning snaps, stock, hug, and curly willow. Her passion, however, is working with events, especially with weddings. “I love bringing the customer’s vision to life”, Lisa says. ” I love to make sure everything is perfect for our brides – they deserve to be pampered and to feel like they are the only bride in the world!” In fact, Lisa loves all of her customers and goes out of her way to treat each one as special, working within each situation with empathy and care. From the joy of the wedding to the honor, love, and compassion needed while working with grieving families, Lisa brings an open heart.

Lisa loves her coworkers, is happily married to her best friend, has two children, and a very smart 9-year-old granddaughter. She considers her talent God-given, and her life strongly influenced by her faith in God.

To meet with Lisa or any one of our talented team, stop into Bice’s Florist, located in Fort Worth. We can’t meet to meet you – because floral design and customer service are our passion.
